Under Counter In Line Replacement Filter
Water that tastes like it's fresh from a mountain stream! Installs under counter on the cold water line. Kit includes #3 Filter, quick connect fittings, winterizing by-pass, hose and bracket. Requires 14" of clearance. Replacement filters that feature KDF media will remove inorganic contaminants before they reach the carbon bed protecting it from bacteria fouling and build-up. Replacement of cartridge is recommended every 12 months or when you notice a change in taste, odor or if flow of water diminishes.
A filter with GAC (granular activated carbon) is a proven option to remove certain chemicals, particularly organic chemicals, from water.
KDF media (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion Media), is a chemical compound used in water filtration applications. KDF is often used along with activated carbon to maximise the filters efficiency. Generally KDF is used in a purification system as a pre-filter, before another, finer stage of filtration and significantly extends the life of the GAC element.
